It’s a rare meeting between the two sides, who have only met on 15 previous occasions in all competitions and not since January 2004.
Just two of those meetings have been in the FA Cup, with Burnley winning 4-2 in the third round back in 1935 and also beating Stags in that last meeting in 2004, 2-0 at Field Mill in another third round tie.
In fact, Mansfield have only ever beaten Burnley twice, with a 4-1 win in the old Division Two in 1977 and a penalty shoot-out success in the Freight Rover Trophy quarter-final in 1985 after a 1-1 draw.
Burnley have been victors 11 times, with two draws, while two of the fixtures were two-legged affairs in the League Cup in 1995 and 1996 which saw Burnley progress on both occasions.
