Derby County's arch rivals Nottingham Forest are seeking their fourth manager of the season after sacking Sean Dyche.

The club released a statement at 12:30am this morning confirming Dyche had been relieved of his duties in the aftermath of their goalless draw with Wolves.

Dyche only lasted 22 games in charge and is the third manager to have left the club this season with Nuno Espirito Santo leaving early on before his replacement, Ange Postecoglou, was also axed after a dismal run of results.

In a short statement, the club said: "Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

"We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the Club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time."

Forest sit three points clear of the drop zone ahead of West Ham who are, ironically, managed by their former coach Nuno, who has steered them to just one defeat in their last five games.

Former Wolves boss Vitor Pereira is currently favourite to take charge and is priced at 4/11 with some bookmakers. Roberto Martinez is 10/1 while Thomas Frank, sacked by Spurs this week, is also the same price.

Robert De Zerbi is also on the list after leaving Marseille. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, overlooked for the Manchester United interim job, is 16/1.
