Player Ratings
Jose Sa: 5
Clean sheet and one excellent save, but Forest really should have scored. His kicking was poor.
Rodrigo Gomes: 3
Replaced by Tchatchoua on 60 minutes. Caught out of position repeatedly by Forest’s quick attacks and did not offer enough going forward.
Yerson Mosquera: 4
Pulled all over the place by Forest’s attackers and struggled to settle.
Santiago Bueno: 4
Similar to Mosquera. He and Krejci found it hard to deal with wave after wave of Forest pressure.
Ladislav Krejci: 4
Normally solid and efficient, but under constant pressure all night. Forest had 35 attempts.
Hugo Bueno: 4
Tried to get forward and offer something in attack, but like the rest of the defence he was pinned back for long spells. Replaced by Moller-Wolfe on 60 minutes.
Angel Gomes: 5
Did not get hold of the ball like he did in the second half against Chelsea. No real range or bite in his passing. Replaced by Bellegarde on 78 minutes.
Joao Gomes: 5
Could not control the midfield. Fortunate not to concede a dangerous free kick on 20 minutes after a rash shove just outside the box.
Matheus Mane: 5
For the second game running, he made a few poor decisions. He should have looked for a pass instead of shooting. Also did not seem to have his usual stamina.
Adam Armstrong: 3
Still not convinced he will deliver consistently. Too often he was too far away from Tolu to benefit from layoffs, and he drifted out of the game for long periods.
Tolu Arokodare: 6
The one player who looked like he was trying to make something happen. The problem was he had to chase his own layoffs because support was scarce. We played 65 long balls, and it took 43 minutes before he received a cross in the box.
Overall
Forest will wonder how they did not win it. They had 62% possession, 65 attempts on goal, and only 10 on target. Wolves rode their luck and got away with a point.
