El Hadji Malick Diouf urges West Ham to continue making fans proud after another impressive display

West Ham have only lost one of their last six games in all competitions and have looked much improved in recent weeks.

Since returning from winning the African Cup of Nations with Senegal, Diouf has started three out of the four games he has been involved in.

The 21-year-old has impressed recently, picking up an assist last weekend against Burnley, and yet again put in a solid display against Manchester United.

“We’re just disappointed with the result because in the 95th minute, only one minute to get three points. It’s football, it’s like this. I think it was a really difficult game, everyone knows that. I just like looking forward to preparing for the next game and trying to get three points.

“They’re a really good team. You see that in the last three or four games, they have won every game. So this was for us to see that we are consistent. So we have to continue like this. It’s really tough, but we need that we need the energy, the emotion also.

“This can help us because we have to get more points, because we need that, we need a lot of points to stay in the league.

“We have to stay on this way because we need more because it’s not enough. We need more and try to get more points. I think we are ready. We know that it’s not about us, but it’s about the action on the pitch, and we know that the fans are waiting for us, so we have to make them happy.

“It’s my job every game, try to have a lot of assists, make our striker get a lot of goals, like Taty [Castellanos] , like [Callum] Wilson . So, we have the quality, we have the talent. I just look forward to it and try to do it every game.

“We are going to win. Cups, League, it doesn’t matter. If you have the West Ham jersey, you have to try to make the fans happy.”
