That’s the verdict of Match of the Day pundits Alan Shearer and Danny Murphy, who both still believe Scott Parker’s men will be playing their football back in the Championship next season.
“I mean at 40 minutes I was planning a piece on [Jorgen] Strand-Larsen,” Murphy joked after the striker’s brace.
“But by half-time, you know, we're looking at one of the best comebacks we've seen in the Premier League this season from a team that's been struggling with confidence.
“They've taken criticism, as has Scott Parker, and to see his players produce this: free flowing, good football, getting on the ball, running off the ball, really good quality goals.
“I mean Palace are giving the ball away and of course you can dissect that all you want, but you've still got to put the ball in the net and this is all within a 7-8 minute period, which is incredible really.

“Palace fell apart, but I understand the relief from Scott Parker and his players and although they look doomed to relegation, celebrating a small win…well, it's a big win in some ways but a small victory if you like in the bigger scheme of things with all the criticism they faced is fair enough and it's understandable.”

Shearer concurred with Murphy’s view, but was pleased to see Parker pick up the win after a challenging weekend.
“I think that's the most important thing because there’s no doubt, he felt it at the weekend and he got emotional,” he said.
"I guess a lot of the fans had turned against him in terms of their performance and results but you always get the chance to respond and his players responded tonight perfectly.
“It must have been so difficult mentally when the 2-0 down. They think: ‘oh no, here we go again’. But to have that comeback, to have that resilience in his interview after the game, that must give them a huge lift.
"It's very difficult, they're not going to stay in the Premier League, I know that, and that's even more important that they continue with that type of attitude going forward.”
