Leeds United and Newcastle United-linked playmaker Lorenzo Pellegrini has reportedly given approval for a move away from Roma.
The 29-year-old has been on the books at the Stadio Olimpico since 2017, when he returned to the club he cut his teeth with after a season at Sassuolo.
He has since made over 300 appearances for the club, registering 59 goals and 60 assists and picking up 36 Italy caps along the way.
However, it was suggested in September that a move could be on the cards for the attacking midfielder.

Lorenzo Pellegrini latest
Speculation regarding his future has failed to quieten and CalcioMercato have now claimed he is of interest to Newcastle.
More pertinently, Pellegrini is thought to have given his approval to a move away from Roma upon the expiry of his contract in the summer.
Given his wealth of experience, Pellegrini would arguably be a shrewd free transfer addition for an array of Premier League clubs.
He has extensive experience of European competitions and was part of Roma’s UEFA Conference League-winning squad in 2022.
However, it is difficult to forecast the business Leeds will conduct in the summer due to the uncertainty over their future in the Premier League.

Leeds United’s position in the Premier League
Daniel Farke’s men have managed to pull themselves out of the relegation zone and have a healthy six-point lead over West Ham United, but are not out of the woods yet.
If they fail to beat the drop, luring a player of Pellegrini’s calibre to Elland Road would most likely prove impossible.
However, another season of Premier League football being guaranteed would allow Leeds to tempt some high-profile figures to LS11.
Leeds have a break from Premier League action this weekend, as they will be visiting Birmingham City in the FA Cup.
