Real Madrid earn around €12 million after Alex Jimenez’s transfer to Bournemouth

Bournemouth have announced the permanent signing of Real Madrid product Alex Jimenez, who was under contract for AC Milan. Bournemouth will pay almost €25 million once some conditions are met and Los Blancos will get 50% of that fee as they still owned half of his rights due to their initial deal with Milan.

Jimenez has been playing at a quality level for Bournemouth and it looks like he could be a candidate to make Spain’s squad list for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

It would’ve made sense for Real Madrid to consider a move for him in the summer when they still had the chance to bring him back at a reasonable price, but not Bournemouth own the totality of his rights and Los Blancos lost any kind of control of the situation.
