Nottingham Forest have pulled the plug on Sean Dyche’s tenure after a drab 0-0 draw against Wolves.
Forest haven’t won at home in the Premier League since the middle of December, and although it’s one defeat in six for the Reds, the performances simply haven’t been good enough.
Forest sacked Dyche just after midnight on Thursday morning, and now the search for a new manager will get underway.
Senior players were called to Evangelos Marinakis’ office after the draw with Wolves, and the decision was made to part with Dyche and his coaching staff – including Ian Woan and Steve Stone.

The three Nottingham Forest players unfavoured by Sean Dyche
According to the Daily Mail, Dyche was left extremely unimpressed with three Forest players after watching them perform on the training ground.
Remarkably – yet perhaps unsurprisingly – Dyche wasn’t overly enamoured by three talented youngsters added to the ranks at the football club.
The three are listed as Dilane Bakwa, Jair Cunha and new signing Luca Netz.
Bakwa has struggled since arriving from Strasbourg, with the player also experiencing a bad injury in his maiden season in England.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Cunha is a bit of a mystery given that Morato makes mistake after mistake, but he often got rewarded by keeping his place in the team when Murillo was injured.
Netz never screamed like a signing that Dyche would make, and that was evident when he inexplicably chose not to play him despite Neco Williams being suspended for the game against Leeds.
The THREE players Sean Dyche didn’t fancy at Nottingham Forest, were they underused or did the sacked boss have a point?
Let us know your thoughts on the three players in the comments below…
Dyche was a huge problem for Nottingham Forest
Okay, the form of late had been largely impressive with just one defeat in six matches, but when it was bad under Dyche it was embarrassing.
Everton fans have seen this film before, too. At Goodison Park, when Dyche was there, he guaranteed to play better football with better players, and despite getting that at Forest, he proved himself a bit of a myth.
Dyche didn’t have much time to work with Netz, but in the sense of Cunha and Bakwa, there is an argument to suggest that both players could have been featuring much more than they were.
Hopefully, a new head coach can start to get more out of the club’s younger players, and the hope will be that Bakwa, Cunha and Netz can all get more minutes on the pitch.
