Bellingham’s recovery slower than anticipated, not expected to be back until April -report

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham hasn’t made significant progress in his recovery from the hamstring injury he sustained against Rayo Vallecano and it looks like he won’t be back with the team until April, according to a report from Onda Cero’s Alberto Pereiro.

It was initially reported that the English midfielder was going to miss around one month with his injury, but the fact that he’s still in quite a lot of pain and that the recovery is going much slower than anticipated suggests that it will take him around two months to make his return to the team.

If that is the case, Bellingham could also miss the Champions League’s Round of 16, assuming Real Madrid beat Benfica in the Round of 32. In his absence, expect Fede Valverde and Camavinga to keep playing minutes in the midfield.
