Roy Keane has branded Tottenham's decision to sack Thomas Frank as "not good" - though he does believe Spurs will have enough to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Spurs confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that the Frank had left the club following a dismal run of just TWO wins in 17 league matches. Tuesday's 2-1 defeat against Newcastle United proved to be Frank's final game, with the north London club falling down to 16th and five points clear of the bottom three.
Delivering his verdict on Frank's dismissal, Keane told The Overlap: "The initial reaction should be whatever, from a football point of view. Another manager loses his job like that. He's still new to the club.
"I know we'll analyse it but it's not good. It's not good for these managers, I know. Again, I go back to that you're shaking hands with the devil. You're going to certain clubs, you know, if you're going through a sticky patch, you just know they won't stick with you.
"Imagine going into a job, you know, any sort of difficult spell you're going to have - you're gone."
"Spurs' form last year was poor, it wasn't like he has come in, he has just not been able to get it going," Keane, 54, added. "He's a brilliant manager and I am sure he will bounce back."

Frank was appointed as Tottenham's head coach in June after Postecoglou was axed despite ending the club's 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League.
Although Frank made an impressive start to life at Spurs - winning four of his first six matches in all competitions - the club's form has nosedived in recent months.
Since beating Everton 3-0 in late October, Tottenham have won just two in 17 in the Premier League. It's a run that has seen them fall down in the table and with a genuine chance of dropping into the Championship.
Spurs sit five points clear of 18th-placed West Ham, who sit in the final relegation place. Their most recent league win came in a 1-0 success against Crystal Palace on Sunday, December 28, eight games and 46 days ago.
Despite this, Keane feels that Tottenham will still have enough to remain in the Premier League. "There is three or four other really bad teams," the ex-Manchester United midfielder continued.
"You still think that Spurs could go down, you look at the points and the league table but you'd like to think they are better than the other two or three. They should have enough to stay up."
Mauricio Pochettino, Xavi Hernandez, Marco Silva, Andoni Iraola, Robbie Keane, Ruben Amorim, Roberto De Zerbi, Enzo Maresca, Kieran McKenna and Oliver Glasner were all named as the potential candidates to become the next Tottenham permanent manager on The Overlap.

"For all the negativity over the last 20 minutes at Tottenham, it's still a great job somebody," Keane finished. "They'll still be someone that says; 'Get me in, I can work my magic'."
