Nottingham Forest signing wants to ‘correct the decision’ – Transfer now seen as a mistake

Dan Ndoye will look to leave Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window and ‘correct the decision’ he made last summer.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb. The Italian outlet covers the Nottingham Forest winger today and his growing desire to leave the City Ground.

Ndoye joined Nottingham Forest in the summer after a superb season at Bologna put him on the radar. Nottingham Forest beat several sides to his signature, including Italian champions Napoli. But it has not been a happy time for him in England.

He has struggled to establish himself at the club or live up to the standard set by Antony Elanga. And that has led to numerous reports he wants out.

Indeed, Sport Witness covered a report at the end of January that an exit was on the cards. That was part of a potential swap deal late in the January window. That followed a separate report from his homeland, Switzerland, which also put his future in doubt.

Ndoye regrets choosing Nottingham Forest

Now TMW want to push the idea forwards. According to them, Ndoye ‘likely regrets’ choosing Nottingham Forest in the summer. He did so because their offer was simply the best from a financial standpoint.

That was on a personal level and for Bologna, who secured €45m. The likes of Napoli were offering closer to €30m.

But now the 25-year-old is regretting his choice, particularly as the Nottingham Forest project has been nothing but chaotic. They’re set to appoint their fourth manager of the season after sacking Sean Dyche this week.

The feeling is that Ndoye is ‘trapped’ and has little chance of repeating his exploits from last season. It’s virtually impossible for him to hit his tally of 11, that’s for sure.

Inter Milan and Napoli keen

That’s why it was no coincidence he was open to a transfer in January. Inter Milan evaluated him at that point, while Napoli also reconsidered. Those two are likely to be in the market again in the summer.

Ndoye has postponed everything until then, but he has made his goal clear: to correct the decision he made a few months ago. He wants out of Nottingham Forest as quickly as possible.
