Nottingham Forest are 'on the verge' of agreeing a deal to appoint Vitor Pereira as their new manager, according to GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano.
The Reds decided to sack Sean Dyche in the early hours of Thursday morning following the club's 0-0 draw with bottom-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers at the City Ground on Wednesday night, which left the 54-year-old's position as untenable.
According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Wolves' former boss Pereira now has an agreement in principle to join Forest and try and keep them out of the relegation zone for the remainder of the season.

According to Romano, posting on X on Thursday afternoon, a deal for Pereira to join Nottingham Forest is now in the 'final stages'.
Given Dyche was sacked a little over 12 hours ago, Marinakis has moved quickly to try and fix his latest Forest issue with a fourth appointment of the campaign.
The disappointing draw with Wolves did extend the 17th-placed Tricky Trees' gap to the relegation zone to three points, but West Ham's upturn in form in recent weeks means a return to the Championship is a genuine possibility now.
Forest will hope that Pereira fares better with them than he did at the beginning of this campaign, when he was sacked on November 2 by Wolves with the club failing to win any of their opening 10 matches, picking up just two points.
According to GIVEMESPORT sources, there are no issues over Pereira's exit package at Wolves affecting this deal, with the Midlands club just needing to be approached as a box-ticking exercise.
