Liverpool vs Brighton in the FA Cup at Anfield - Saturday, 8pm

Brighton and Hove Albion received some positive injury news ahead of their FA Cup fourth round clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Seagulls have been without their Dutch international Mats Wieffer for the past nine matches with a toe injury. Wieffer last featured in the 2-1 loss at Arsenal but will be back in contention to face Liverpool.

Wieffer, 26, has mainly been deployed at right back this term and made 13 starts from 16 Premier League outings.

"Yeah, big player with a big impact on our game," said Hurzeler on Wieffer.

"Big personality as well, so definitely we missed him and we're all happy that he's back now."

Hurzeler also confirmed that defender Jan Paul van Hecke will be available from the start as he manages a slight hamstring issue. Van Hecke missed the painful 1-0 home loss to Crystal Palace and then played the first hour of Brighton's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park on Wednesday.

Midfielder Yasin Ayari remains sidelined with a shoulder issue, while Solly March "is getting closer" following long term knee issues but the clash at Liverpool will arrive to soon for the winger.
