Club ‘get serious’ for Bournemouth star – CEO and sporting director meeting with agent

Juventus are trying to move ahead of potential competition for Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi.

That’s according to Tuttosport, via Tuttomercatoweb. The Italian website reports that Juventus are ready to accelerate their efforts for the Argentine defender.

Juventus are planning ahead for the summer transfer window and central defence is a priority. That could also stem from Manchester United’s interest in Pierre Kalulu.

Sport Witness covered a report earlier today stating that United are sending scouts to watch the defender this week. The Red Devils are one of several sides in Europe with their eyes on the 25-year-old.

He could leave a gap, although Juventus plan to renew him and ward off transfer interest.

Eyes on Bournemouth

Their eyes are firmly on Senesi regardless. Tuttosport claim that the Bournemouth defender has attracted interest from several European clubs. That includes Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.

Juventus believe he is the perfect player to strengthen their defence and provide an alternative to Lloyd Kelly. That’s why they’re ready to accelerate.

In fact, CEO Damien Comolli and sporting director Marco Ottolini have scheduled a meeting with the defender’s entourage in the coming days.

Their plan is to ‘get serious’ and there’s scope for an agreement. Juventus have capped the salary at €3m a year and intend to present that figure in negotiations.

Manchester United, Everton, Crystal Palace and Chelsea

The key factor is that Sensi is set to be a free agent in the summer transfer window. His contract at Bournemouth expires at that point.

It’s that which has made club’s across Europe line up for him, including in the Premier League. Sport Witness covered a report last month that stated Manchester United had spoken to his agent.

Everton, Crystal Palace and Chelsea have also been linked in reports since too. Juventus appear to be aware of that and are now planning to accelerate their efforts to get ahead of the potential competition.
