“Looking at him…”: West Ham in race to sign “magic” free agent this summer

West Ham’s Premier League survival hopes are looking brighter.

With three wins and a draw in their last five league matches, the Irons have climbed within touching distance of safety, especially as Nottingham Forest continue to falter under a third managerial shake-up this season.

While survival isn’t guaranteed, it seems Nuno Espírito Santo and the board are already plotting for next term, determined to avoid a repeat of a frustrating campaign.

According to Football Insider, West Ham are among the clubs lining up a move for Fulham star Harry Wilson this summer.

The Welsh international has been a standout performer for the Cottagers this season, netting nine goals and earning rave reviews from manager Marco Silva, who described him as “magic.”

With Wilson entering the final months of his contract and no new deal in sight, the Hammers could swoop for the 26-year-old on a free transfer.

But West Ham aren’t alone. Former club scout Mick Brown notes that several Premier League sides are “looking at him,” with Everton, Crystal Palace, Leeds United, and Bournemouth all keen to secure Wilson’s signature.

For the Irons, landing Wilson could be a timely boost to a squad that’s been stretched thin this season, while keeping the club competitive next term.
