Newcastle target speaks out – Midfielder says he is “very happy” at current club

Newcastle United continue to monitor Allan Elias closely, but the midfielder has made it clear that a move is not on his mind right now.

In an interview with ESPN Brazil, the 21-year-old addressed growing European interest after Palmeiras rejected multiple offers in recent weeks.

Despite the noise around him, Allan remains calm. “I am personally very happy with my moment at Palmeiras,” he said. “I leave these matters to my staff and my father, so I try to make the most of living this here, which is Palmeiras.”

Napoli saw a €30m plus €5m package turned down. Earlier in the window, Zenit failed with a €20m plus €5m proposal. ESPN also mentions that Newcastle United and other English clubs – presumably including Aston Villa – have tracked his situation, yet no formal bid has arrived from Tyneside, Birmingham or anywhere.

Palmeiras have kept a firm position throughout. The club rejected proposals worth more than €35m and continue to prioritise sporting objectives. Internally, they view Allan as one of their most important players. He became a regular starter in 2025 and played a decisive role in the Libertadores campaign.

Newcastle United target has clause near €100m

As previously reported, Palmeiras also built their 2026 financial plan around major outgoing transfers. The board aim to raise around €70m from new sales, and Allan stands as one of the main assets in that projection.

Even so, they prefer to delay any move until after the Club World Cup, unless an irresistible offer arrives. His contract runs until 2029, and his release clause sits near €100m.

Also, his words reinforce what Palmeiras have signalled all along. Interest exists. Newcastle United remain attentive, and Aston Villa is in the picture. But for now, neither the club nor the player are rushing towards the exit door.
