Shaw is an ever-present in the 2025/26 Premier League, while Mainoo only started his first league game of the campaign in the win over Manchester City, but has shown his quality under Michael Carrick.
Left-back Shaw's last cap was in the Euro 2024 final, against Spain, while Mainoo also started that game but has only played 13 minutes for his country since, coming on as a substitute against Republic of Ireland in September 2024.
Maguire started in the Ireland tie in the UEFA Nations League and was an unused substitute against Finland in the following game, but has not been selected over the same period.
