The FA Cup fourth round is upon us and ahead of facing Wigan Athletic, Mikel Arteta spoke with the press.
Mikel looked ahead to the clash against the Latics, what the FA Cup means to him and much more.

on players making an impact:
It's an opportunity for the team, again, with another competition, and the history that we have related to that competition, it's amazing. We'll play at home again. I'm really excited to recover and go again.
on preparing for another competition:
Every three days we are getting so used to playing different competitions, home or away, and we know what that competition means to the club, to ourselves, and go step by step.
on why we haven’t gone past fourth round since 2020:
We haven't been good enough on that day, and when you come to a competition, you have to be excellent on the day, and the rest, the shirt that you wear, or the badge that you wear, is irrelevant. So we're going to have to prove that against Wigan again on Sunday.

on a change of competition being a good thing:
I mean, we are doing that every week. Every three days we are playing different competitions so we are so used to it. So we will reflect on the game [v Brentford], take the positive, the learnings for sure that we have to improve and go on Sunday again with the energy and the batteries fully charged to go and win the game.
on making changes for the game:
Yes, that's what we've been doing. I mean, try to make sure that everybody is a big part of what we are doing in different competitions and Sunday will be the same.
