Tim Sherwood launched a passionate rant on West Ham supporters after claiming he witnessed a long-standing myth about the club finally being busted.
The outspoken pundit did not hold back, launching into a staunch defence that is certain to spark debate among Hammers fans.
West Ham put in another largely excellent performance as they drew 1-1 with Man United on Tuesday night.
The Hammers looked on course for their fifth win in six games thanks to Tomas Soucek’s goal.
But their tendency to concede late goals cost West Ham dear again as Benjamin Sesko’s 96th minute strike meant another precious two points dropped by the Irons in their battle to survive.
West Ham’s problems are multi-layered
That took the total number of points dropped by West Ham from winning positions to 20.
Even if the Hammers had retained half of those points they would be sitting comfortably around midtable right now.

MORE WEST HAM STORIES
There is a feeling around the London Stadium that West Ham would have been fine this season had Nuno Espirito Santo been manager from the summer.
A major divide between the fans and the owners has set an apt backdrop to a disastrous campaign.

That – and the obvious lack of wins – has made for dismal atmospheres at the London Stadium for much of the last two years.
A large section of West Ham fans already dislike the bowl-shaped arena.
And when the air turns toxic, it hits even harder in the cavernous ground.
While the owners, Graham Potter and Nuno have rightly taken their share of the blame for how this season has unfolded, West Ham fans have, somewhat unbelievably, also been heavily criticised.
Pundits and journalists have, at different times, accused supporters of failing to generate any atmosphere at the London Stadium, saying it had a negative impact on the team.
Sherwood’s passionate rant about West Ham fans as myth busted
Supporter protests against the owners have even been criticised by some observers too.
Given the rank mismanagement of the club in recent seasons, from woeful recruitment to record £100m losses in the latest accounts, fans have been understandably incredulous that they have been apportioned any blame.
A very good omen for Burton… 🏆 🍻

Some label West Ham fans fickle, demanding or unrealistic in their expectations.
But now a prominent pundit has spoken up for them.

Tim Sherwood launched a passionate rant about West Ham fans after seeing a myth busted first-hand.
When the Hammers trudged off the pitch after conceding in the 96th minute against Man United, the mood in the stands was one of shock.
Some were aghast that the team had really thrown away more crucial points at the death.
Up to that point, though, the Stratford arena was literally bouncing.
West Ham fans always raise the decibels for the visit of Man United – especially under the lights.
Sherwood: ‘West Ham fans are not hard to please’
And Sherwood says the London Stadium myth was busted in that game amid claims of there being no atmosphere at the ground.
The pundit said what he saw and heard in the game against Man United proved not only that the London Stadium can produce a good atmosphere but that Hammers supporters are not hard to please.
“Yeah, they need to be more clinical when they get the opportunities (West Ham),” Sherwood told Premier League Productions’ post-match coverage.
“I thought the crowd stuck with them.
“Everyone talks about, you know, there’s no atmosphere at the stadium. There was an atmosphere there tonight. You know, when the players play like that and they give everything.
“That’s all those West Ham fans ask, you know, give everything for the shirt. I thought they were excellent tonight. I really did.”
