West Ham
Leeds United fans were not happy with the business that went on at Elland Road in the January transfer window. Despite starting off on a promising note, the window ended very poorly.
The 49ers acted fast to sign Facundo Buonanotte on loan for the rest of the season. He came in when Jack Harrison left to join Fiorentina on loan. And when news emerged about a possible move for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, fans were excited. But the bid was rejected and Crystal Palace swooped in to seal the signings.

So Daniel Farke ended up with just one addition to the first team. In contrast, relegation rivals West Ham and Nottingham Forest splashed the cash as they were not in the best shape in January. Since the window ended, things have gone differently for both of Leeds’ rivals. Forest have sacked Sean Dyche after he lost to Daniel Farke’s men and only managed a draw with bottom of the table Wolves.
West Ham on the other hand have seen some improvement, winning three of their last five matches in the Premier League.
West Ham dealt huge blow after injury to star man
But now, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been dealt a huge blow this week. Off the back of a huge result against Manchester United midweek, it was confirmed that January signing Pablo Felipe has been sidelined for an extended period.
“He (Pablo) is injured, unfortunately. He is going to be out for a while,” Nuno said during Thursday’s press conference.
“We don’t know exactly how long, but yeah, he’s injured. It’s a big blow for us.”
Pablo has featured in five games since joining the club, and has failed to score a goal. He was meant to be the main striker to lead the line, and now the Hammers need to find a solution.

Leeds United handed huge advantage
Things are shaping up for the Whites to clinch safety with 12 games to go. They are one of the most in form teams at the bottom of the table, and do not look like they well capitulate at any time. Forest now have to pick themselves up after sacking Sean Dyche and now Nuno Espirito will have to be without a key signing in the team – West Ham have been having trouble at center forward this whole season which lead to ownership dipping into the market last month.
