Blitz for Nottingham Forest midfielder in ‘last few hours’ – Director spotted

Nottingham Forest

Somehow, Nottingham Forest managed to keep hold of Morgan Gibbs-White in the summer transfer window. Despite Tottenham triggering his release clause and pushing for a deal, the English midfielder stayed at the City Ground.

So far this season, he’s played 26 times in the Premier League. He has six goals and two assists, emerging as a shining light amidst a frustrating campaign.

Now, the 26-year-old is attracting attention from clubs beyond England. Juventus are emerging as a suitor for the Nottingham Forest player.

Director spotted at Nottingham Forest game

Gazzetta dello Sport report today that even if the transfer window is closed, the Bianconeri are keeping an eye on multiple players.

Old Lady sporting director Marco Ottolini made a trip to England for Nottingham Forest’s clash against Wolves this week. This has been described as a blitz which took place in the ‘last few hours’, as the Italian kept a close eye on Gibbs-White.

There is belief ‘lots of notes’ were made about the midfielder. Possibly, a host of other players in the game were also of interest but the newspaper focus specifically on the England international.

Gibbs-White captained Nottingham Forest in the goalless draw, with his last goal coming against Crystal Palace earlier this month.

Price tag can be a problem for Juve

Gibbs-White’s current deal at City Ground runs out in 2028. As club captain and as a key player, his value is likely to be quite high.

Juve aren’t the biggest spenders in the market and usually rely on cheaper market opportunities. It would take something special for them to spend big for the Nottingham Forest player.

Dusan Vlahovic, who commands a high wage, is about to depart Turin in the summer on a free transfer. This can free up a lot of wages and can possibly hand a chance for Juve to execute a big move.

As it stands though, the midfielder is one of the many possibilities. Things can become clearer in the next few weeks.
