Is Oxford United vs Sunderland on TV? Streaming details plus latest injury and team news

The latest broadcast details and team news for Sunderland's FA Cup trip to Oxford United.

The Black Cats beat Everton on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Hill Dickinson Stadium in the third round, but have since gone on to lose three of their five Premier League matches, though they have beaten Crystal Palace and Burnley. Oxford, meanwhile, followed a similar path to the fourth round, drawing 1-1 away at MK Dons before a shootout victory. It’s the first time Sunderland have made the fourth round since the 2022/23 campaign, while they’re looking to overturn a miserable FA Cup record and reach the fifth round for the first time since 2014/15.

Expectations are high that Sunderland can continue what has already been an excellent season with a deep run in the cup, so plenty of eyes will be on this match. So, how can you watch it live and what is the latest team news?

Oxford United vs Sunderland team news

Oxford are missing a host of first-team regulars for this match, with Brian De Keersmaecker (shoulder), Hidde ter Avest (hamstring), Jack Currie (ankle), Jamie Donley (shoulder), Nik Prelec (groin) and Tyler Goodrham (ankle) all sidelined. Sunderland don’t have as many injuries to contend with, but they will be keenly felt, with Omar Alderete and Granit Xhaka both missing with respective muscle and ankle problems. Bertrand Traore also misses out with a knee problem.

Noah Sadiki was seen limping at the end of Wednesday’s defeat to Liverpool and may be given a rest in this one, though deeper midfield options are a little thin on the ground with Xhaka’s injury. Regis Le Bris may well see a match against Championship opposition as an opportunity to rotate and rest some key players, bringing in the likes of Luke O’Nien and Dennis Cirkin for rare starts, while youngster Chris Rigg will also want to see some action.

Oxford United predicted XI: Ingram; Makosso, Long, Helik, Brown; MacDonnell, Brannagan; Placheta, Peart-Harris, Emakhu; Harris.

Sunderland predicted XI: Roefs; Geertruida, O’Nien, Ballard, Cirkin; Diarra, Le Fee, Rigg; Talbi, Isidor, Mundle.
