Third-tier Burton Albion will look to subvert the odds by knocking West Ham United out of the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
How to Watch Burton Albion vs West Ham
Premier League contender West Ham United will travel to the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday for an FA Cup showdown against Burton Albion in the fourth round of the competition. The oldest running soccer tournament in the world is nearing its business stages, but only one of these teams can reach the last 16.
This will be the first time the two clubs have faced off in a competitive setting. The Hammers visited Burton upon Trent for a pre-season fixture in 2010, when an experimental West Ham XI suffered a 4-2 defeat.
The stakes will be far higher this time around, however, particularly for a West Ham side currently fighting for its life near the base of the Premier League. That could encourage Nuno Espirito Santo to put out a slightly weakened squad in the hopes of concentrating resources on the small matter of remaining in England's top flight.
The Brewers are currently in a similar position, albeit two divisions down the pecking order, and currently sit 21st in League One and in a relegation fight of their own. Gary Bowyer's men have failed to win either of their last two home outings, however, and are one of only five teams in League One with a negative goal difference at home.
