And the former Arsenal man now has major worries about the Reds staying in the Premier League, with Vitor Pereira expected to become the club’s fourth manager of an extraordinary season.
Responding to Dyche’s dismissal, which came just hours after a 0-0 Premier League draw with Wolves at the City Ground, which left Forest just three points above the relegation zone, Merson said on Sky Sports: “I don’t know anybody who wouldn’t take Sean Dyche in a relegation battle and that’s what they’re in.
“They had 35 shots against Wolves, 10 on target. It’s one of them games.

“It’s a terrible decision in my opinion, it really is,” he added.
“I weren’t really worried about Nottingham Forest because of the Sean Dyche situation. Now, I’m majorly, majorly worried about Nottingham Forest.”
