Mohamed Salah reaches rare personal milestone in Liverpool's win over Brighton

Mohamed Salah was in top form as Liverpool beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-0 in the FA Cup.

For much of 2025/26, we have not seen the 33-year-old at his best at Anfield.

Salah hit out at the club when he was dropped by Arne Slot in the Premier League at the back end of 2025.

That issue is now behind the Egyptian, but question marks over the Liverpool winger’s future remain amid interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Fans also think Salah has lost some of his pace this season, being especially concerned after the Newcastle United game.

However, what we saw in the 3-0 win over Brighton was much better from the Liverpool star.

Dominik Szoboszlai then made it 2-0 11 minutes into the second half, with Salah providing the assist.

The forward then won a penalty and stepped up to score said spot-kick to kill the tie off with 68 minutes gone.

Now, for just the third time in his Liverpool career, Salah has scored, provided an assist and won a penalty in one match.

He has done this twice previously, with both matches coming against Newcastle and then Arsenal in December 2018.
