A round-up of the latest Premier League transfer rumours including Everton and Man United news
Premier League clubs are already planning ahead of the summer transfer window, which is shaping up to be a busy and expensive period.
Everton are considering revisiting a target from their January pursuits, while Manchester United are looking to snub Arsenal of a move for an exciting Championship rising star.
Everton ‘planning’ second move for ex-Liverpool star
Everton are reportedly ‘planning’ to make another move in attempt to sign former Liverpool ace Harry Wilson in the summer. The Toffees had approached Fulham over a deal for the Wales international during the January window but their Premier League rivals knocked them back.
According to Football Insider, Everton could return to the table to try and sign Wilson at the end of the season, when his contract expires. Fulham were not willing to let such an important player leave the club halfway through the season. However, he is close to becoming a free agent and clubs will be preparing to enter conversations with him ahead of the new campaign.
The 3AM Verdict: Wilson has been a standout player for Fulham this season, with nine goals and five assists in all competitions. The versatile winger can play both out wide and centrally, which will him a solid addition to Everton as they continue to strengthen their ranks.
Man United ‘hold talks’ to snub Arsenal transfer
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal are still named as the favourites to sign ‘highly-rated’ England youth international Igor Tyjon from Blackburn Rovers. However, Man United are also in the picture and have ‘held talks’ in attempt to stop the 17-year-old from joining their Premier League rivals.
Tyjon turns 18 next month and has turned down the offer of a new contract with Blackburn. He is now expected to leave the Championship club in the summer when his current terms expire at the end of the season.
Arsenal have been tracking Tyjon for more than a year now and have reportedly seen three offers rejected. They remain keen on signing the youngster, though but Man United have also made contact over a potential move.
The 3AM Verdict: Man United are in an exciting position right now and they are planning to make significant changes to their squad over the summer. As for Arsenal, Tyjon may find regular minutes hard to come by as Mikel Arteta has a well-rounded squad and could well be defending the Premier League title next season.
