Joe Cole: Duo can save club’s season – and Sullivan’s future | West Ham News

With the fan protest taking to the skies yesterday it is clear there is no end in sight to the protests against Sullivan and Brady’s continuing tenure in the West Ham boardroom. Relegation probably remains the biggest threat to both the club and to Sullivan’s ownership with the huge financial cost that comes with falling through the trapdoor.

Many West Ham fans have already pronounced themselves ready to suffer the Championship if it means the successful conclusion of the ‘No more BS’ campaign as they hope that falling out of the Premier League would convince the Hammers chairman to ‘name his price and sell up’ as some of the- notoriously banned – banners have suggested.

I’m not so sure it’ll be that straightforward. In any case if the Irons do pull off their Great Escape 2.0 and climb above Nottingham Forest – or even better, Tottenham – then it’ll more than likely be ‘business as usual’ in the West Ham boardroom next season.

No resolution in sight : No more BS campaign

Former Hammers midfielder turned tv pundit Joe Cole made his own prognosis clear on TNT yesterday, highlighting the duo that can save West Ham’s season. Which would surely prolong the Brady – Sullivan control in the boardroom too.

“[Joe] Cole then suggested that if Summerville and fellow wide man Jarrod Bowen play to the best of their abilities, it could be enough to keep West Ham in the Premier League for another season.

“He’s a confident lad,” he observed. “I think I said a couple of weeks ago, if he performs to the top of his capability with Bowen, West Ham are back in the relegation fight, and they can survive.”

Just let both players stay fit until the end of the season. For as was evident yesterday, without the wingers, West Ham looked devoid of threat with only Adama Traore to fall back on.
