Ange Postecoglou has given his first interview since being sacked by Nottingham Forest after just 39 days in charge at the City Ground.
The Australian manager was the surprise choice of Evangelos Marinakis to replace Nuno Espirito Santo after he was sacked back in September.

Postecoglou didn’t oversee a single win in any competition during his time at the City Ground, with the Europa League winner being sacked after just 39 days.
The interview he gave last week has caused quite a stir, even if Forest weren’t mentioned, with one broadcaster slamming Postecoglou for some of his comments in the piece.

Andy Goldstein slams Ange Postecoglou for comments
In an unlikely twist of fate, it would appear that Goldstein is quite adamant about why Postecoglou was sacked, and he thinks his comments from his appearance on The Overlap last week aren’t a great look.
On the show, he explained how he felt Tottenham weren’t a big club and also lifted the lid on some private conversations he had with Daniel Levy.
Goldstein was fuming with the comments he made, and as a complete neutral, he explained how he felt Forest were right to make the decision to sack him after just 39 days.

He said on TalkSPORT: “It was a disgrace, I thought. He’s been sacked, and he blames everyone else. For his sacking, he got seven million pounds. Did he ever say, ‘I wasn’t that good’? No, he didn’t.
“Ange, I will tell you now the reason he got sacked by Spurs, the reason he got sacked after 39 days at Forest was that he’s not a very good manager.”
Postecoglou statistically the worst Forest manager ever
The purists will point to the fact that he only got nine games in charge, but Forest looked lost under his management, failing to produce anything that remotely resembled what he did at Tottenham.
There was a 45-minute spell away at Real Betis when the Reds showed promising flashes of something special, but the Premier League campaign was largely drab.
Marinakis has to carry the can for Postecoglou’s appointment, and with his replacement Sean Dyche also being axed, it’s not been a comfortable season for the owner.
With Vitor Pereira in the hot seat, hopefully, Forest can now kick on and try to forget that Postecoglou once managed the club, consigning it to the history books for good.
