Alysson did not feature for Aston Villa against Newcastle United in the FA Cup due to a small injury.
The winger was experiencing discomfort before the match after picking up a knock in training and was therefore not included in the matchday squad.
Alysson made his debut for Villa last Wednesday, coming on in the final 30 minutes against Brighton.
At 19 years old, Villa view Alysson as an exciting prospect but will manage his game time to ensure his development is carefully nurtured.
Unai Emery spoke in his pre-match press conference on Friday about what fans can expect from the young winger.
“He’s a winger. Left foot winger playing normally on the right side, and (he) can play in the left side, but normally he’s playing on the right side,” Emery explained.
“He has qualities or skills like, more or less, Leon Bailey – left foot playing in the right side, and he has a huge potential.
“Of course, his adaptation is being progressively better, but he needed time, and he is still needing time to adapt of us, and to get his best performances.
“But each match or each training session is very important for him.”
