**When Leeds United ended the summer window without a marquee signing in attack, many fans were frustrated. The Whites spent over £100 million but failed to land any big names they were linked with.**
Instead, the club signed Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin on free transfers and Noah Okafor on a permanent deal from AC Milan. But as the season has gone on, the trio have become a huge part of the team. Early in the season, the Whites were struggling for goals, but since December, things have changed.
Calvert-Lewin has been on a great streak and Nmecha has chipped in with his goals. Noah Okafor has been very good recently, showing his quality in big games.
Leeds United star makes huge revelation after FA Cup win

Lukas Nmecha was the only goalscorer for the Whites in their FA Cup tie against Birimingham City this past weekend. The game went into a penalty shootout, which Leeds United won. After the game, the German striker was speaking to the media:
“I’m just just doing my best,” Nmecha told reporters following his goal against Birmingham City in Sunday’s fourth round FA Cup clash.
“Whenever I’m called upon, I’m doing my bit, and I think I’ve shown that when I do get a chance, I normally put it away. So, yeah, I’m just pleased.”
“I’m obviously still growing physically,” Nmecha went on to admit.
“I’d say I’m still not 100% but I’m slowly getting there.”
Asked more about how he goes about attaining his fitness, Nmecha added: “We train really hard. I mean, even the players that don’t play as much, you know, we’re training six, seven times a week, sometimes we don’t get a break, and we’re just plucking away.
“And I think the atmosphere in the team is really good. And whenever people are called upon, like you saw today, they give it their best.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been the first choice striker and has grabbed all the headlines this season. But Nmecha has also been a large part of this campaign; his partnership with the former Everton man when they were both fit was great to watch. And in games where the German has deputized for the former Everton man, he has played very well. The 27-year old is one of the club’s top scorers, and his goals could help propel them to safety as the season goes on.
