Leeds United
Leeds United recorded a hard fought win over Birmingham City in the FA Cup this weekend. They squeaked through on penalties, but the win wraps up a great couple of weeks for the Whites.
Beating Nottingham Forest extended the gap between themselves and the bottom of the table, and the draw against Chelsea in the league lifted them up to 15th place. Leeds are now in pole position to beat the drop with 12 games to go.

Leeds United receive injury scare
The win was a huge boost as the Whites continue their impressive run since the start of the year. However, Sunday’s game might have left Daniel Farke worried after Noah Okafor was taken off with an apparent injury. After the match, the Leeds boss confirmed that the winger felt something in his muscle:
“Noah felt something in his muscle. I hope it is just a cramp, but we will see.
“Daniel, yesterday, reported problems with his back and did not feel comfortable. Could not sprint. I hope Noah is not another attacker unavailable.”
It would be a huge blow to lose a player that Farke recently praised for his performances in training. Okafor has two goals and an assist in his last three games in all competitions.

Wilfried Gnonto could be called upon soon
Hopefully Noah Okafor is okay; the winger has come into form over the last few weeks. He was one of the signings criticized earlier this season for not being consistent. But finding the back of the net in key games against Chelsea and Forest have shown that he can be a real threat.

If he goes down, there are limited options to replace him, with Dan James also having problems. Daniel Farke has rarely trusted Joel Piroe this season, which leaves Wilfried Gnonto as a serious option. The winger is quite similar to Okafor in that they both have pace that can stretch defences. If it is the case that Gnonto will be called upon as the seaosn progresses, he has a huge chance to make his way back into the first team. He is a good player, but has found himself outperformed by other stars in the team this season.
