Clarke made his senior debut for the League Two outfit when he was just 15-years-old, so he joined the Toffees’ academy with quite a big reputation.

The teenager initially joined the under-18s and has quickly progressed to the reserve side.

Clarke enjoyed a productive debut season with Everton’s under-18s side last term and has now stepped up to 21s football.
It’s been a tough season for the jet-heeled wide player due to injuries, but when he has played, he’s been a real livewire.

Justin Clarke was involved in first team pre-season
Clarke was actually part of Moyes’ squad in pre-season, and he made a real impression in a friendly against Accrington Stanley.
The 2008-born came on just after the hour mark and was a serious handful against EFL opposition, so from that moment, the Scotsman has certainly been well aware of his talent.
Moyes has promoted Clarke to senior training on occasions this term, so perhaps a debut is looming at some stage.
Justin Clarke signed his first professional contract last year
Clarke was rewarded with his first professional contract in August 2025, penning terms until June 2028.
Speaking to Everton’s website, he said: “This contract is really good because it’s such a great club, so I’m pleased to be signing the new deal.
“I learned from a lot of different coaches throughout last season, and I felt I developed my game in different areas.”
Clarke added: “I was always confident of coming in and doing well because I know my ability.
“I settled in quickly because it’s a close group, so it’s easy to get on with everyone. Moving away from home and staying with a good family was good for me personally, too.”
