Michael Dawson urges Nottingham Forest stars to 'step up' ahead of tricky run of Premier League …

Nottingham Forest have a new manager through the door, with Vitor Pereira the club’s fourth new boss of the campaign.

Sean Dyche was sacked after a drab 0-0 draw against Wolves in which Forest wasted 36 shots at the opposition goal.

Vitor Pereira has sent the fans a message but what advice would YOU give the new Nottingham Forest boss?

Let us know in the comments below…

Senior Forest players expressed concerns over Dyche after that game, with his rigorous training methods ensuring the players were largely shattered coming into games.

Now, Pereira must get that loving feeling back at Forest, and the challenge for him is to keep the club in the Premier League with just 12 games remaining.

Michael Dawson, however, holds reservations about who Forest will beat any time soon…

Michael Dawson expresses Forest concern

The former central defender who had two spells with Forest still considers the club as the one he supports.

He believes the absence of Chris Wood this season has been seriously detrimental and he’s now concerned that the club just won’t pick up enough wins between now and the end of the season.

He told Sky Sports News: “Chris Wood scored 20 goals last season, they’ve scored 25 this season, he got 20 on his own, it’s been tough.

“You look at the fixtures, they’ve got Fenerbahce, Liverpool, Brighton, City, Fulham, Spurs, Burnley, I’ve written them down, I’m trying to look where they get points.

“The last game of the season is Bournemouth at home, I’m looking at that list thinking, where are they going to win?

“These players were brilliant last season, we’re waxing lyrical, they got new contracts, great, but they need to step up now. They shouldn’t be in this position.”

Forest need unity under Pereira

The Portuguese manager can help the Reds in a togetherness sense with the manager doing exactly the same when he walked through the door at Wolves.

He experienced an immediate new manager bounce and led Wolves to safety at a canter last season.

The amount of money Nottingham Forest have paid out to managers

This is just ridiculous, should we have persisted with Dyche?

His 10 games at the start of this campaign were a disaster, but people often forget that such form came after the club had sold his three star players from under his feet.

Forest have to stop the internal sniping now and focus on winning enough matches between now and the end of the season to pull clear of the relegation zone.
