Keen, who had been at the U’s since November 2023, has linked up with the Hammers to assist in their Player Development Pathway phase.
Keen had most recently been working as Colchester’s under-18 boss and guided them to the FA Youth Cup fourth-round stage, bowing out at Oxford United last month.

Keen first worked as Colchester’s Lead Phase Coach for their under-15 and under-16 teams.
He then moved up to coaching the U’s under-18s side but now has a fresh challenge to look forward to, at West Ham.

Eddie Keen is the son of Kevin Keen, who managed the U’s in the 2015-16 season.
The duo will link up at West Ham, where Hammers legend Kevin now runs the academy loans alongside the likes of Carlton Cole.

Eddie previously coached within the Brentford academy and was first-team coach at National League side Maidenhead United alongside former West Ham favourite and ex-Braintree Town boss, Alan Devonshire.
Keen has previously coached in the United States and worked in the American College system, having studied at Hastings College, in Nebraska.
He also worked with Atletico de Kolkata (ATK), a professional soccer team in West Bengal, India.
