The 26-year-old French-born attacker has netted 10 times and registered two assists in 22 matches across all competitions since his stunning move to Old Trafford.
Mbeumo has come into his own at the Red Devils and has been unfazed by the hefty price tag that United splashed out to sign him from Premier League side Brentford.
Brentford accepted Man Utd’s third bid for Mbeumo last July and the Red Devils paid an initial fee of £65m and agreed a further £6m in add-ons for the Cameroon star.

However, the Cameroon international’s life was shaped even ahead of his time at Troyes, with a former PE teacher spotting his incredible talents at a young age.
Annabella Ware, a professeur d’anglais at the Jeanne d’Arc La Salle in Avallon, recalled a memory when retired PE teacher Patrick Boquel told her about Mbeumo.

“Patrick and I got chatting when I moved to the school and, obviously, I’m British and originally from London,” she told Manchester United’s official website.
“He kept telling me about this lad who had just started playing for Brentford, at the time. He said, ‘You do know I taught him ever since he was 11 years old?’
“I got really interested and he kept talking about Bryan, how well he was doing, and would tell me all these lovely anecdotes about when he first met Bryan and how he could spot his star qualities and his potential as an athlete.”
Mbeumo studied at the school in Avallon, which is based in France, and Annabella Ware revealed exactly when Patrick Boquel noticed the Man Utd ace’s talents.

“I know Patrick did have an impact on Bryan,” she added.
“In fact, one of the anecdotes he told me was about when he first knew that Bryan was special.
“Every year, our school has a cross-country run and it raises money for charity. The year Bryan did it, he won by an absolute mile.
“I mean, he was just waiting for everyone else to turn up, at the end, and that was one thing.”

What Bryan Mbeumo’s former mentor told the Man Utd summer signing and what it showed
Annabella Ware added that Patrick Boquel was left surprised with Mbeumo’s self-awareness after the United star expertly broke down how he won his race.
She continued: “Okay, so he’s already winning it, but this is an 11-year-old kid and when Patrick said, ‘Well done, Bryan, you did so well,’ he basically gave him a step-by-step analysis of how he ran the race. Even the sort of things he was thinking [about] on each step of the run.
“Patrick thought, ‘Is this your level of philosophy and awareness of how you need to do something in order to win it?’
“At that point, he knew he had someone special already, with the speed and the agility, but now also the psychology. That was a lovely, lovely story.”
Mbeumo netted 70 times and registered 51 assists in 242 matches for Brentford ahead of his high-profile transfer to Man Utd in the 2025 summer transfer window.
