Leeds United splashed the cash in the summer, bringing in 10 new signings for over £ 100 million. It was expected that the team would try and improve on what they had in the Championship.
The best teams that are promoted usually fall into the trap on not improving upon their players. But the 49ers provided enough funds for quality players during the summer. The club added a new goalkeeper, some defenders, key midfielders and beefed up the attack. It took a while for things to come together and the team to function as a unit with all these new additions.

Leeds United expecting interest in £15 million man
Now, the club are in great form and have positioned themselves well for the final few games of the season. The two results against Nottingham Forest and Chelsea have seen Leeds United move into 15th place above Spurs. And now there is some daylight between the team and the relegation zone. On other fronts, Leeds have also advanced to the next round of the FA Cup.
According to Football Insider, people around Elland Road are expecting interest in Jaka Bijol this summer. The club believe the Slovenian defender has been one of the standout players this season. He was signed from Udinese in Serie A, where he had made a name for himself as a tough defender, and so far has shown his quality in England.

Jaka Bijol has turned his season around
When the Slovenian started the season on the bench, it raised a lot of questions. Daniel Farke explained that the defender had not gotten used to playing with Struijk or Rodon and so had to wait for his time. His first few games were a bit shaky, but he has since settled and has been a solid addition to the team. Bijol looks unplayable since the change to a back three, which looks to be more suited to his aggressiveness and physicality. Going from a player people had a lot of questions about to one of the stars of the team within months has been a fantastic transformation, and the 25-year old deserves every bit of credit. Leeds United must do everything possible to keep him at the club past this summer.
