Anthony Taylor has been confirmed as the referee for the Premier League meeting between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.
The Reds head into the game looking to pick up what would be their third win in eight days.
Liverpool are battling Manchester United and Chelsea for a Champions League place and were given a boost last week when they saw off Sunderland, and Utd dropped points to West Ham United.

The Red Devils don’t play until Monday, meaning a win over Forest would see them, at least for a day, level on points with Michael Carrick’s men.
Now, the Premier League have announced the match officials for the meeting at the City Ground.
Anthony Taylor will be the referee on the day, with Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn acting as his assistants.
The fourth official is Dean Whitestone, while Paul Tierney and Adrian Holmes are on VAR.

Taylor has previously taken charge of many Liverpool matches and has been praised by Arne Slot.
After a meeting against Bournemouth in August 2025, which Taylor was officiating, the Dutchman said: “It was a great game to watch. This is what makes football so great, all three parties involved wanted a good game: Us, Bournemouth and the referee. High tempo, no stoppages or time wasting.
As quoted by Liverpool.com, he continued: “The referee today kept the game going, it was a very high and intense game.”
However, former manager Jurgen Klopp has a very different view. Speaking after a meeting with Arsenal in 2023/24 when Ibrahima Konate was sent off, he said: “A lot of things were against of us today. This referee gave me a red card against Man City for wrestling situation between Bernardo Silva and Mo Salah.
“Today same situation with (Diogo) Jota, but didn’t get a red card. It is unbelievable, then the holding Havertz on Konate for the first yellow card. Then Havertz goes down and the referee gives Konate a yellow card.
“Gabriel does the same to Nunez and no yellow card.”
