Who is Everton target Daniel Svensson? Toffees scouts left impressed by the new Joshua Kimmich, …

Everton are already making plans for the summer transfer window, with Daniel Svensson of interest.

The Sweden international has made a strong impression at Borussia Dortmund this season after arriving from Nordsjaelland in 2025, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 32 appearances in a left wing-back role.

On The Minute now claim that Everton have been left impressed by the 24-year-old after sending scouts to watch the Swede, so let’s take a more detailed look at what he could bring to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Should David Moyes play with a back three and wing-backs more regularly for Everton?

Everton could sign the next Joshua Kimmich if Daniel Svensson deal materialises

Borussia Dortmund paid around £6m to sign Svensson in May, and the German giants could soon make an enormous profit on that sum.

The man from Stockholm has played a key role so far this term, making 18 starts in the Bundesliga as Borussia Dortmund sit second – six points behind Bayern Munich in the title race – with just one defeat in 22 matches.

Niko Kovac even called Svensson a “Duracell bunny” as he likened the Everton target to Bayern Munich and Germany star Joshua Kimmich.

The official Bundesliga website quote the Croatian as saying: “He’s a Duracell bunny. He reminds me a bit of Joshua Kimmich. He also plays every game and runs 12 or 13 kilometres.”

Full name: Daniel Jonathan Svensson

Age: 24

Date of birth: 12 February 2002

Height: 1.83m (6ft)

Nationality: Swedish

Place of birth: Stockholm

Club: Borussia Dortmund

Position: Left wing-back

Daniel Svensson scouting mission suggests Everton have made a decision on Vitalii Mykolenko

Vitalii Mykolenko has struggled this season, and with his contract set to expire in July, the fact Everton are looking at another left-back suggests they are ready to replace the Ukraine international.

It could also point to a possible departure for the 19-year-old Adam Aznou, who moved from Bayern Munich to Everton in an £8m deal last summer.

Mykolenko is out of contract at the end of the season, would you let him leave on a free transfer?

Moyes has not given the Morocco international a second of Premier League football so far this season, so perhaps a decision has been made to either sell or loan the teenager out.
