Report: Flamengo want Nottingham Forest with Marinakis wanting £30m to sell him

When it comes to Nottingham Forest having Brazilian players sought after by other clubs, the natural presumption is to discuss Murillo.

However, Igor Jesus is another now in the spotlight, with Flamengo seemingly keen to take the striker this summer following his maiden campaign playing in England.

Jesus was a £15 million signing from Botafogo in the summer of 2025, and his first season in England has been one that has thrown him a baptism of fire.

Vitor Pereira has sent the fans a message but what advice would YOU give the new Nottingham Forest boss?

Let us know in the comments below…

Chris Wood’s injury has seen him be considered as the first-choice striker, and in all competitions, he’s managed to bag 10 goals in the Garibaldi.

Although Jesus has only scored two goals in the Premier League, it would seem that he’s now a wanted man.

Igor Jesus wanted by Flamengo

With the Brazilian campaign getting underway, it would appear as though the top clubs are busy trying to plan for the transfer window reopening.

Brazilian journalist Julio Miguel Neto says that the club based in the Brazilian capital of Rio de Janeiro are now keen to try and sign Forest star Jesus.

MORE FOREST STORIES

It’s believed that they’re closely monitoring the situation with Forest and will almost certainly try and swoop should the Reds get relegated this season.

Jesus was shown faith by Sean Dyche in the past, and now it remains to be seen whether or not he will retain that mantra under Vitor Pereira.

Forest should consider selling Jesus

The Brazilian has scored some really good goals for Forest since arriving at the club, but with just two Premier League goals to his name, there are some reservations.

Forest haven’t scored anywhere near enough goals in the Premier League this season, with just two coming in that particular competition.

Would you sell Igor Jesus for £30m in the summer? YES or NO?

Let us know in the comments below!

With Wood unlikely to return as the 20-goal striker he proved to be last season, Forest will likely need to target a striker again during the summer transfer window.

If the Reds can double their money on Jesus in the summer, then it’s something that Evangelos Marinakis will have to seriously look at.

The Forest owner is a bit of a master at getting complete value out of his players, and as a result, it feels as though he’s going to correctly stand firm over this valuation of Jesus.
