Benjamin Sesko has revealed his true feelings about Manchester United manager Michael Carrick. The ex-United midfielder stepped into the role at Old Trafford last month, succeeding Ruben Amorim until the season's end.

Since taking on the position, Carrick has maintained an unbeaten record during his second stint leading United. He secured victories in his first four matches against Manchester City, Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham, prior to a 1-1 draw with West Ham.

The saviour in that recent deadlock was Sesko, whose exceptional finish from the bench salvaged a point. He also found the net in the final moments against Fulham, aiding his team in clinching a 3-2 win.

Sesko, who only joined the club this summer for a staggering £74million, was questioned about his adjustment under Carrick. The 22-year-old didn't hold back.

"He's an amazing person," Sesko stated, speaking on United's official YouTube channel. "That's already meaning a lot really. But as well he is a really good coach.

"Not just him. The whole staff that has come in with him. They are working unbelievably. They are giving all the details that you need to improve and to get better. And the details to know what to do in a game, because it's important."

"They are also always good with communicating. He and all the other staff. So I am really happy that he came here and also happy about what he has achieved."

Carrick returned Sesko's compliments in his post-match press conference following the 1-1 stalemate against the Hammers. The manager lavished praise on his striker after a superb finish in the final moments.

"It's always a balance," Carrick commented when questioned about bringing Sesko on from the bench. "The boys who have played have done fantastically well.

"That's the importance of the group, I say it after every game. Ben is doing a lot of work, he is in a really good place and he is ready to kick on.

"It's managing the balance. We could have changed things earlier, but when he came on he made a big difference. It was an unbelievable finish.

"From that angle, to generate that and to get it on target, it's some finish. He is capable of that. But it's not like he has suddenly burst onto the scene, he has proven he scores goals.

"He does it in training. The last one [a winner against Fulham] would have done him the world of good, but that was a big moment for him and for us."
