Leeds United's squad market value compared to Aston Villa and other Premier League rivals

Leeds United have proven very competitive back in the Premier League, but how does their squad market value compare to rivals?

The Whites are 15th in the table, with 30 points on the board from 26 games ahead of this weekend’s trip to Aston Villa, sitting six points clear of the bottom three following a run of just two defeats in their last 13 games.

Many recent results have come courtesy of big moments from players signed during the summer, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Lukas Nmecha. Together, they help make up a Leeds United squad worth €321.03m, according to Transfermarkt. But how does that stack up against the rest of the Premier League?

Premier League squad market values: How do Leeds United compare?

Position Club Market Value

1 Manchester City €1.29b

2 Arsenal €1.27b

3 Chelsea €1.16b

4 Liverpool €1.04b

5 Tottenham Hotspur €876.50m

6 Manchester United €719.15m

7 Newcastle United €709.55m

8 Nottingham Forest €591.60m

9 Crystal Palace €536.30m

10 Aston Villa €531.50m

11 Brighton €510.00m

12 Bournemouth €447.10m

13 Brentford €434.40m

14 Everton €423.65m

15 Fulham €372.95m

16 West Ham United €338.95m

17 Sunderland €327.03m

18 Leeds United €321.03m

19 Wolves €278.35m

20 Burnley €251.65m

Leeds United’s squad market value is the third-lowest in the Premier League at present. Despite their strong recent form, that value shouldn’t be a surprise, given they’re a newly-promoted side.

Daniel Farke has access to just four players worth €20m in the form of Anton Stach, Ethan Ampadu, Pascal Struijk and Wilfried Gnonto, while not a single Leeds player has a market value higher than that.

Only two sides - Wolves and Burnley - have lower overall market values than Leeds, who are just below fellow promoted side Sunderland, who are worth a collective €327.03m, despite an extensive summer recruitment drive.

This weekend’s opponents, Aston Villa, are surprisingly down in 10th, behind Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, despite currently sitting third in the Premier League table and on the fringes of the title race.
