Wolves return to Premier League action when they face Arsenal on Wednesday night

Wolverhampton Wanderers return to Premier League action on Wednesday night when they host league leaders Arsenal at Molineux (20:00 GMT).

Rob Edwards’ side defended resolutely to earn a goalless draw with relegation rivals Nottingham Forest last time out in the league, before a slender 1-0 win away at Grimsby Town in the FA Cup fourth round over the weekend thanks to a 60th minute Santiago Bueno goal.

Wolves will look to make it three games unbeaten when the Gunners come to town, both sides with a lot to play for at opposite ends of the table. The Old Gold have nearly a full squad of players available to choose from at present, with Hwang Hee-chan and Toti Gomes expected to be the only first-team stars out injured and unavailable for selection on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, latest weather updates for the West Midlands have emerged and might impact Wolves and their opponents at Molineux.

Snow warning issued ahead of Wolves vs Arsenal clash

According to the Met Office’s official weather forecast for Wolverhampton, there is a chance of snow in the region on Wednesday evening amidst a mix of sleet and rain which could hit during Wolves’ Premier League clash with Arsenal. A yellow snow warning has been issued for the West Midlands and Wales, lasting from 4pm on Wednesday until 6am on Thursday morning.

A forecast on Tuesday night stated a patchy 1-2cm of snow is expected in some areas of the West Midlands and southern England on Wednesday, with more substantial amounts of snow to build up over hills – 2-5cm over 150m and 15cm above 300m, according to reports.

But forecasts suggest the chance of snow in Wolverhampton this evening, which could impact the Premier League clash at Molineux as Wanderers look to take the game to their London opponents.

This is not currently expected to have an impact on the game going ahead, though updates will be issued if this changes later on in the day.
