West Ham United are unlikely to have January signing Pablo Felipe available until late March at the earliest.
Pablo suffered an injury at West Ham United in the build-up to their draw with Manchester United earlier this month, having come off the bench against Burnley a few days before.
While the former Gil Vicente forward hasn’t scored for the Hammers yet, Pablo has played well since joining West Ham in January.
Along with Taty Castellanos, the forward has brought about an improvement in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
How should Nuno react to Pablo’s ‘big’ injury lay-off? 🤕

However, according to The Athletic, the 22-year-old is expected to miss between four to six weeks with a calf issue.
That would rule him out of West Ham’s games against Bournemouth (H), Liverpool (A), Fulham (A), Brentford (H) and Manchester City (H).

It’s a major blow for the West Ham head coach, who had recently backed Pablo to score his first goal for the club.

After the clash against Manchester City, there’s an international break. When that finishes, the Irons head to Aston Villa on Sunday, 22 March, 2026.
It remains to be seen if Pablo is available for that.

Pablo Felipe’s standing in the West Ham United squad
West Ham fans have responded positively to Pablo’s performances, and it seems as if he’s building close friendships behind the scenes.
The report adds that he’s already formed a close bond with Mateus Fernandes, who has been another star of West Ham’s recent revival.
The two both speak Portuguese, which surely helps.

Potential replacements for Pablo Felipe at West Ham
Freddie Potts was brought into the side against Manchester United following Pablo’s injury as Nuno reverted to a three-man central midfield.
However, Potts is now suspended for West Ham following his red card against Burton in the FA Cup.
Nuno could feasibly bring either Soungoutou Magassa or Mohamadou Kante into central midfield to replace Potts and keep the 4-3-3 system.
However, if Nuno wants to go back to the 4-4-2 shape that brought him relative success, then Callum Wilson looks the best option to sit alongside Taty up front.
