With many figures at Manchester United reportedly regretting the terms of Marcus Rashford's loan move to Barcelona, they are also certain about their thoughts on Jadon Sancho

Manchester United have no intention of retaining Jadon Sancho. The Englishman was sent on loan to Aston Villa last summer, where he has also struggled to find his best form.
Alongside Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford, Sancho found himself in the so-called 'Bomb Squad' under Ruben Amorim. While United sold Garnacho to Chelsea, Rashford and Sancho were loaned to Barcelona and Villa respectively.
But with Rashford impressing out in Catalunya, many United figures are reportedly regretting giving Barcelona the option to sign him permanently for around £26million. Their thoughts on Sancho are the complete opposite - they want him and his huge salary off the books at Old Trafford.
Sancho was understood to be earning around £200,000 per-week since his £73million move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021. He has been loaned back to the Bundesliga side and to Chelsea, with the latter paying a £5m penalty fee not to sign him, after they could not agree on wages.
United do have the option to trigger a 12-month extension on Sancho's deal. However, having struggled to sell him over the last few seasons, the club are now happy to let him leave as a free agent this summer.
When it comes to Rashford, many figures within the club reportedly believe he is playing like a £50m player. Unfortunately for the next permanent manager, Barcelona can sign him for a cut-price £26m, as per the loan agreement they made last summer.
Rashford is also understood to be eager to make his move at the Camp Nou a permanent one. He has ten goals and 13 assists in 34 appearances in all competitions, which have been enough to get him into Thomas Tuchel's recent England squads.

Sancho will be hoping he can resurrect his career in the same fashion as Rashford. He enjoyed bright moments while on loan at Dortmund and Chelsea, but not enough to convince them to purchase him on a permanent basis.
With his contract expiring at the end of June, it will be easier for him to find a move. Villa manager Unai Emery recently suggested he could be persuaded to make Sancho's temporary venture at Villa Park permanent.
The Spaniard said: "Not yet, but he is a fantastic player. Hopefully he can help us by increasing his qualities in our structure like he is doing.

"He will need another contract, and maybe it could be here. If he plays his best football, we will want him. But also other teams could be involved in the interest for him.
"The first part of the season was not enough. He was working and trying, but not achieving the performance we needed. Now he is getting better. He is getting the challenge for him and us."
