Leeds United are eyeing a summer move to sign Union Saint-Gilloise striker Promise David, according to Sports Boom.
The Whites have enjoyed a decent season in the Premier League so far, and currently sit 15th in the table, six points above the relegation zone, with Daniel Farke having changed the system to a back-five in order to get the most from his squad.
The winter window was spent looking for attacking reinforcements, but the 49ers were only able to bring in Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton. But plans are already underway for the summer to ensure they don't miss out on targets once again, and a new striker target has emerged.
Leeds Want to Sign Promise David
Promise David celebrates scoring against PSV Eindhoven
David, who has been described as a 'machine', has been a breakout striker this season in Belgian football, netting 15 goals and registering two assists in all competitions, including the Champions League.
His performances have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe, and the Canada international is expected to be on the move during the summer transfer window as he prepares to feature for his nation in the World Cup.
Union Saint-Gilloise are keen to get maximum value for the 24-year-old and have slapped a £20m asking price on his head as a result, but that is not expected to put off the likes of Leeds, who are keen to bring in a new striker to improve their forward options for next season.

Promise David
Standing at 6ft 5 and praise for his overall abilities in attack, scout reports have seen David described as a 'Mini Osimhen', which would show the type of striker that clubs would be signing if given the chance.
USG recently extended his contract with them until 2029 to secure negotiating power, and it's understood that there is a 'gentlemans agreement' that he will be allowed to leave in the summer if an acceptable offer arrives, despite their public 'not for sale' stance.
Promise David or Dominic Calvert-Lewin?
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Currently, the striker role at Elland Road is occupied by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with Noah Okafor, Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe providing competition. But the arrival of David would ensure that at least two of those names departed, and it could be an upgrade for the team.
GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT who would be a better option between David and Calvert-Lewin, and here was its response:
Dominic Calvert-Lewin – More proven at top level; Premier League pedigree, physical presence, aerial threat, and recent scoring streak show higher current impact.
Promise David – Younger with upside and potential, but less proven in elite leagues so far.
Verdict: Calvert-Lewin is better now; Promise David may have higher long-term potential.
