Jeremie Frimpong was not present during Liverpool training on Wednesday ahead of their Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest.
Arne Slot has faced issues at right-back across the season, with Conor Bradley, Frimpong and Gomez all having spells on the sidelines.
Bradley is out for the remainder of 2025/26, while Frimpong was injured against Qarabag in the Champions League.
It has seen the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones forced to play out of position in the back-four, which may be required again this weekend.
Jeremie Frimpong misses Liverpool training ahead of Nottingham Forest
Sky Sports shared footage from Liverpool training on February 18.
Gomez, who has been in and out of the team this season due to injury, has come off the bench in Liverpool’s last two meetings against Sunderland and Brighton.
It remains to be seen if he will be fit enough to start the Nottingham Forest clash, but he was at least training with the first team on Wednesday.
However, Frimpong, along with long-term absentees Alexander Isak, Giovanni Leoni, and Bradley were not present.

When Jeremie Frimpong is expected back
Frimpong has been called ‘exceptional’ since moving to Liverpool, but injury issues have hampered the right-back following his summer transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.
He has already missed 13 Premier League fixtures this term with various issues, but could be back in the near future.
Gregg Evans of The Athletic provided an update this week and stated: “Liverpool are likely to be without Jeremie Frimpong for another week as he completes the final stages of his recovery from a groin injury,” Evans wrote.
“The 25-year-old right-back has missed the last four games and is expected to remain on the sidelines for the trip to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.”
