Leeds United are heading to third-placed Aston Villa for the next game in their Premier League survival bid.
Whites star Jayden Bogle has issued a confident Leeds United message ahead of Saturday’s clash at highflying Aston Villa with a declaration of his side’s intent.
Fresh from Sunday’s fourth round FA Cup success on penalties at Birmingham City, Leeds are heading back to Birmingham this weekend for a very different Premier League test at a team sat third in the division.
Bogle, though, whose men sit 20 points and 12 places below Villa, says his 15th-placed side definitely see Saturday’s clash at Villa Park as a possibility to bag all three points, despite respect for Unai Emery’s hosts as a “fantastic side”.
Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Bogle was asked how confident Leeds were going into the game and declared: "Confident.
“We have to be confident”
"We have to be confident against everyone in this league otherwise it's top teams you are playing against and if you don't have that confidence then it can get you.
"But we respect them, they are a fantastic side but I think a big point is focusing on what we can do in building up to this game."
Pressed on whether his men saw the game as a possibility to bag all three points given Villa’s recent ‘wobbles’ at home, Bogle said: “Of course.
“I think every game, whether it is home or away we have to approach to go in with the mindset that we are good enough to go and win and I think that's the mindset we will go into the game with, obviously being respectful that they are a fantastic team as well.
"But I think that's the mindset that we need to approach the games with."
