Everton are struggling at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and fans are consequently starting to look at themselves in the mirror.
Many Everton supporters on our very own TalkingPoints platform, Reddit and X (previously known as Twitter) are of the opinion that the atmosphere inside the Hill Dickinson Stadium is having a negative impact on the players, with mistakes often met by loud groans which some feel sap the confidence of the team.
David Moyes has overseen just five wins in 15 games across all competitions at the new ground so far – one of those coming against Mansfield – and is without a win in the last six matches at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
As fans begin to point the finger at each other, supporters should bear in mind what John Stones told them to do at Goodison Park back in January 2016.

Maybe Everton fans do need to “calm down”
Everton fans are arguably the most passionate supporters in the Premier League, but they might care too much.
Stones – who could return this summer – memorably told Everton supporters at the Gwladys Street end to “calm down” as they loudly expressed panic during a Premier League clash against Tottenham in 2016, as the England international tried to play out from the back under intense pressure from Heung-min Son.

Given the way Stones reacted and proceeded to glare at the fans, it was a moment that proved supporters can actually be a distraction despite only having good intentions behind the noise.
Stunning away record suggests Everton are being held back at the Hill Dickinson Stadium
This is by no means a poor Everton side, not at all.
Moyes has overseen six wins and three draws from 13 away games in the Premier League this term, which has Everton sitting eighth and in a fantastic position to qualify for Europe.
Venue Played Won Drawn Lost GF GA GD Points
Home 13 4 4 5 16 18 -2 16
Away 13 6 3 4 13 12 +1 21
Overall 26 10 7 9 29 30 -1 37
The only shortcoming is the home form.
This is clearly a strong Everton side, but with only four wins in 13 Premier League games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, there is certainly an argument to be had for supporters holding the players back.
It is almost as if the shackles come off for the players away from home, where nervy fans are not causing them to question their every move on the ball.
What would your message to David Moyes be after another loss at home? 😫
He seemed fairly pleased with his players despite the defeat 😬

Ultimately, Everton supporters pay their money and can do whatever they like, so if the players continue to struggle, perhaps Moyes should look to invest in a sports psychiatrist to explore the matter.
