Iliman Ndiaye's favourite stadium answer might leave Everton officials feeling slightly uneasy

Iliman Ndiaye has admitted Old Trafford is his favourite stadium, amid reports of interest from Manchester United in the Everton winger.

Iliman Ndiaye was asked some quickfire questions by Fotmob, and gave an answer that is bound to fuel the fire, replying with ‘Old Trafford’ when asked for his favourite stadium that he’s played in.

He added: “The atmosphere, the size. When we were like, growing up, this was the stadium you want to play in.”

Of course earlier this month, it was claimed that Ndiaye is on Manchester United’s radar heading into the summer.

It is perhaps no surprise, with Ndiaye having again stood out for Everton this season.

But his admission about Old Trafford is sure to have some fans feeling slightly uneasy, and potentially even some Everton executives as well.

That Ndiaye said Old Trafford is his favourite stadium he’s played in is concerning.

It’s unclear whether he is currently aware of speculation about United wanting to sign him.

If he is aware, then it’s worrying for Everton because the club obviously don’t want to sell Ndiaye this summer.

There’s an argument to say that keeping hold of Ndiaye – a game-changer – will be more significant for Everton this summer than any signing they make.

Ndiaye may have potentially planted a seed with his Old Trafford admission.

Or maybe it was all very innocent, and he just gave an answer that wasn’t Goodison Park or the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Will Everton need European football to keep Iliman Ndiaye? 😬

Surely a player of his quality will want to showcase himself on the top stage 🤩

Either way, people are going to talk.

Everton could really do with hanging on to Ndiaye though if the club are to push on, and it may well be that the Toffees need European football to achieve this.

He’s someone who could certainly be playing in a European competition without looking out of place, so Everton could do with having that to boast.
