Gabriel Jesus punishment revealed after Arsenal draw ends in chaos

Tensions boiled over at the end of Arsenal’s draw against Wolves

Arsenal saw their Premier League title hopes plunged into further doubt on Wednesday night after they threw away a two-goal advantage against the bottom side in the division.

The Gunners looked on course to move seven points clear at the top of the table when Piero Hincapie struck just before the hour mark, adding to Bukayo Saka’s fifth minute header.

However, Hugo Bueno's curling strike reduced the deficit shortly after.

And then in stoppage time, Wolves debutant Tom Edozie was on hand to earn his side an unlikely point as the ball fell kindly for him following a defensive mix-up between David Raya and Gabriel when trying to clear a cross.

Arsenal pushed forward in an attempt to score a late winner, but to no avail and tempers spilled over at the end of the game.

There was a coming together between both sets of players, culminating in Jesus earning himself a booking for pushing Wolves defender Yerson Mosquera to the floor.

“We dropped our standards and we got punished for it.

“Time to focus on ourselves, improve our standards and improve our performances and it is in our control."
